Time travel: allowing girls to see what they really actually look like from the back.
I changed my ringtone to Eleven’s theme and now everytime someone calls me, I feel like something awesome and exciting is about to happen.
I ordered 4 samples from Notoriously Morbid ($1.25 each), and she graciously sent me 2 more. I used this pressing tutorial to press 5 of them because I only had 5 empty pans left. I think mine didn’t press as pretty as hers because she used 70% alcohol and says to wait 1-2 hours to press them. I used 91% alcohol and waited about an hour, but I think next time, I’ll only wait a half hour or so.
The eyeshadows in the top left of the palette in the last picture are from Shiro Cosmetics (they also come loose, and I pressed them). You can purchase a pressing kit from TKB Trading, but they also sell the empty pans by themselves or with the tamping tool (the press tile with the little handle, it makes it easier to press). They also sell empty palettes in 12-pan and 4-pan sizes, but my magnetic palette is from etsy, and the pans stick really well to it.
"I know she’ll be in good hands."
Great, now I don’t even have the surprise of 12’s costume to look forward to. Thanks.
My latest creation - the Doctor Who Quotes scarf, in performance knit and cotton. Mainly so I can be surrounded by Doctor Who at all times. The words of 9,10 and 11 in my handwriting (plus a few quotes from companions).
I cannot tell you how excited I am to get this in the mail. SO EXCITED.
First Doctor (William Hartnell)
First words: “What are you doing here?”
Last words: “‘It’s all over’. That’s what you said. No, but it isn’t. It’s far from being all over. I must get back to the Tardis immediately! I must go now… I must go at once. [Ben passes a cloak to The Doctor] Ah yes, thank you. Keep warm.”
Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton)
First words: “Araagh, slower…slower! Concentrate on one thing…one thing!”
Last words: “Is this some sort of joke? No, I refuse to be treated in… What are you doing? No! Stop! You’re making me giddy! No! You can’t do this to me. No! No! No! No! No! No! No!”
Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee)
First words: “Shoes, must find my shoes. Unhand me, Madam!”
Last words: “A tear, Sarah Jane? No, don’t cry. While there’s life, there’s…”
Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker)
First words: “Typical Sontaran attitude…stop Linx… perverting the course of human history… I tell you, Brigadier - there’s nothing to worry about. The Brontosaurus is large and placid.”
Last words: “It’s the end… but the moment has been prepared for…”
Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison)
First words: “Ah, you’ve come to help me find the Zero Room. Welcome aboard. I’m The Doctor, or will be if this regeneration works out.”
Last words: “Going soon. It’s time to say goodbye. Might regenerate, I don’t know. Feels different this time. Adric?”
Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker)
First words: “You were expecting someone else?”
Last words: “Carrot juice, carrot juice, carrot juice…”
Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy)
First words: “No Mel! [wakes up] Myah… that was a nice nap… now down to business. I’m a bit worried about the temporal flicker in sector 13.”
Last words: “Got to stop him.”
Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann)
First words: “Who am I? WHO AM I?”
Last words: “Right, where to next? Now, where was I? [Record starts skipping in the Tardis] Oh no, not again!”
Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston)
First words: “Run!”
Last words: “Rose, before I go I just want to tell you, you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And d’you know what? So was I.”
Tenth Doctor (David Tennant)
First words: “Hello. OK, mmm. New teeth. That’s weird. So where was I? Oh that’s right… Barcelona.”
Last words: “I don’t want to go!”
Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith)
First words: “Aaargh! Legs! I’ve still got legs. Good. Arms, hands, ooh fingers, lots of fingers. Ears, yes eyes, two, nose…I’ve had worse. Chin…blimey! Hair! I’m a girl! No! No, I’m not a girl… and still not ginger! There’s something else, something important, I’m…I’m…I’m… crashing! Haha! Woohoo! And… geronimo!”
Last words: “I will always remember when the Doctor was me.”
Twlefth Doctor (Peter Capaldi)
First words: ”Kidneys! I’ve got new kidneys! I don’t like the color. We’re probably crashing. Stay calm! Just one question: do you happen to know how to fly this thing?”
Yup, I totally cheated and downloaded The Time of the Doctor instead of waiting till 9 (because I’ll be in bed and I am NOT waiting till I get off work tomorrow).
So. Many. QUESTIONS.
A very Doctor Who Christmas from Josh!
Adding information into my Who-ology book I received last night for Christmas Eve, and got sad because by the end of today, we’ll know Eleven’s last words. :(
