I knit a cozy for my Timolino travel mug because I’m the coolest.

Tasha is the best!! I’ve been wanting to read this book for so long (because of you!) And would you look at that knitting; it’s flawless!

I no longer simply recommend books, I disguise them as gifts so you’ll HAVE to read them! Lol

Also, arco iris is such a pretty colorway.

It’s amazing what a difference blocking makes. They’re both the same pattern, same yarn (though different colors of course), but the one on the right hasn’t been blocked, it’s right off the needles.

I usuly just steam block, but if memory serves me correctly, you can only do this with natural fibers.

vengefulbarista:

Yesterday, we had to take our dog to the vet because he was vomiting and defacating blood.

They don’t know what’s wrong, but so far it’s cost us $400 to have him stay overnight. Neither Josh nor I had this money to begin with, and I honestly have no idea what we’re going to do. So I’m going to try to sell a couple of things I have knitted already as well as a couple that are made to order.

Ramona Flowers fingerless gloves (same color, same fit, same size) ready to ship: $50

Bella Swan mittens (any color you choose, super long and stretchy) made to order: $50

Alice Cullen handwarmers (any color you choose, super stretchy) made to order: $50

Ravenclaw Scarf (movie colors, double knit so double thickness, really long and warm and perfect and I love it; I can also do different colors for different houses on a made-to-order basis for the same price) ready to ship: $65

Message me if you have any interest at all and I will set up a custom etsy.com listing for you. Feel free to share, any help at all is appreciated.

Why do I do this to myself? Every year, about a month before Christmas, I craft like a crazy lady to get it all done on time. I never learn lol.

Finished these bad boys yesterday. Now I’ll start on one more pair of handwarmers for a Christmas gift, and then sew up 3 blankets for my nieces and nephews and I’ll be done! Sounds easy. Not really.

Next project; fingerless gloves Josh requested. Pain in the assignment doing all the fingers individually.

Finished! I love how the cables twist in opposite directions. I love the color, too (perfect TARDIS blue, so pretty, the twists sort of have that time-travel feel). And the Malabrigo is SOOOO smooshy. I wish it would stay cold instead of this freezing in the morning, 70 in the afternoon nonsense.

Pattern notes and info here (Ravelry link, feel free to add me!).

Got a little over halfway through one hand warmer and decided it was too snug, so I ripped it out and went up a needle size. That’s what I get for refusing to do a gauge swatch.
